As part of the 7th Biennale of Photography on Industry and Work, Foto/Industria 2025, organized by the MAST Foundation, the exhibition Quarta casa by Moira Ricci retraces the artist’s entire career — from her earliest experiments to her most recent research — through a wide selection of photographic works, videos, sculptures, and installations.

Hosted at the prestigious MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art of Bologna, the exhibition, curated by Francesco Zanot and Lorenzo Balbi, will occupy the Museum’s entire ground floor, featuring a large site-specific installation set up within the monumental Sala delle Ciminiere.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Museo Nazionale di Fotografia, the complete series 20.12.53 – 10.08.04 — consisting of 50 works and held in the MUNAF collections — will be on view in the exhibition.

The series originates from a selection of family photographs chosen by the artist, into which she digitally inserts herself alongside her mother — who passed away prematurely — using self-portraits contextualized according to the fashion and style of each depicted period. This work marks a key moment in the maturation of Ricci’s artistic language.
